15 Famous Blogs From America!

As an 18-year-old American with a home in this gorgeous country, I am proud of that. It should be! Everyone else from various countries should be feeling the same. Proud for a country that has been a champion for the rights of its citizens and human rights, even though they really haven’t followed through lately.

This part, I’m not happy about. Certain things that were said from the US and the actions made have really hurt its reputation , and many others around the globe. However, enough discussion of politics in this article!

The web is a big place. It has grown at an exponential pace since the 1990’s. It is also a mistake to categorize blogs or websites as belonging to a specific location or nation is ridiculous. I mean someone from Siberia in an igloo is able to access any blog that will be presented here.

I mean it’s like trying to distinguish American Sand from the rest of the world. Sand is sand. To differentiate between them is absurd!

This article is talking about blogs that are extremely popular and a bit bizarre, originating in America. United States. I just found it interesting to discover those blogs that have the “funny” smell to them. I actually find these very fascinating. They make you read, even in the event that ” ‘liking’ is not on your mind at the moment.”

This article isn’t one of those that says, “Hey, let’s learn something new today! “ Or, “Let me brush my memory and clean those focals on that particular topic” so-to-speak.

Everybody likes a laugh every now and then.

If things would be so serious, damn.

I don’t know what the future holds for us. Let’s step away from the norm and have fun with the blogs that are featured on this site.

1. The Onion

This has been put at the top of the list. It’s pure American absurdity! However, it’s actually hilarious. A blog that creates content which makes fun of anything extraordinary that has occurred in this nation and throughout the world.

There are videos on YouTube that has fooled, by the millions. I was fooled by a video talking about the way Justin Bieber was found dead. But I found out that it was a fictional story. lol

2. Fail Blog

A “fail” blog. Was it a failure as an online blog? Naw. These blogs are extremely funny! I mean it’s really fun to read the blog and find hilarious headlines and articles. The same way I was looking through and some of the headlines is what I read, “Changing a Tire FAIL”, “Nothing is responding” The events in Vegas makes me shiver” as well as “Yo-Yo Skills are a winner”.

It was founded in 2008 and was bought later by the Cheezburger Network. I sourced this article from Wikipedia on how it came to be popular.

Fail Blog “really started to take off when the financial industry decided to – ahem – fail.”

Seems like a too hot day on this blog. I love it! The header and the design of it! Pink Yo! This blogger is a famous blogger. Everyone in the blogging world has heard of his name and blog!

Get this. He said this about blogging “because it seemed easy.” It’s probably true in a way but to actually make it grow is similar to trying to count the number of hairs on your scalp! It’s not easy, is it?

The blog is a source of the most recent celebrity news and gossip surrounding it, which has led to some intense controversy in that world. Still, a pretty sick blog. Perez.

4. The Daily Beast

A political blog. A bit of a snob but “it’s time to make some of the politicians!” They don’t do much!

I guess it is similar to Perez’s blog. This time , it is surrounded within the realm of politics.

5. Mashable

Hey. I’m familiar with this one! Dude? How is this a strange one? The author didn’t really add this one to make fun of! I really like this blog since it is very similar in its content to my own blog.

I decided to include Mashable because they have worked tirelessly to create amazing content with a humorous tongue inside! It deserved to be here! They speak about the latest information on social media.

“but also covers news and developments in mobile, entertainment, online video, business, web development, technology, memes and gadgets.” – Wikipedia

You should check it out! You’ll be amazed!

6. Brain Pickings

Haha I love the design. Toothpicks being removed from the head of a man. Another blog I’m not familiar with. Based on what I’ve seen it’s a blog that assists us to discover something new about the world, or delight our minds with an incredible feat! This is some amazing stuff!

7. Laughing Squid

Similar to the blog we saw just above us. The creative people I know have a lot to learn from these two blogs. Therefore, I won’t let myself be lazy, I went the”about” page to see exactly what this blog is all about.

“Laughing Squid features interesting art, culture & technology from around the web.” That’s all we need to be aware of!

8. Pink Sith

This header! Is it Darth Vader with a boob! You have to admit that is the first time that I witnessed Darth Vader changed to somewhat of a woman! It’s pretty cool anyhow!

This blog is written and owned by Elvira with posts written by Elvira on the topic of makeup as well as cosmetics. Ladies?

9. TreeHugger

No! This blog is not about the environment, or the notion that you can hug trees! No! The name caught my attention too. This is why I am saying this.

Create a unique and interesting name to your website. It’s a crazy psychological technique that could draw people to your site. It’s always a thrill for me. A name that is creative always leaves me wondering what site is about.

“TreeHugger is the leading media outlet dedicated to driving sustainability mainstream.”

10. Boing Boing

A blog that is quite familiar to some of you, since its inception at the time of its inception in 2000. Interesting, I discovered it was that Boing Boing was first a magazine. Then it changed to the web, and finally the blog.

Boing Boing seems to talk about interesting news every day, and apparently science with corruption? Don’t know.
